This music was originally based on "Chaconne" which won the 1st prize in Sasagawa Competition in 1976. It was published from Nippon Music Foundation. It's been rewritten to make the length almost double and made a spectacular excitement to lead out the potential of the mandolin orchestra. "Chaconne" is a type of musical composition, popular in the baroque era. The theme of a music is constantly changing and progressing. It was commissioned and first performed by mandolin orchestra of Kobe University in 1981.
